Co-founder Medha Sharma had ventured into home construction in 2011. But finding quality and reliable contractors was both challenging and a finical risk. Contractors also failed to provide high quality work within the stipulated timeframe.
Medha realised that there was no reliable ecosystem for home construction in India and what existed was too outdated and opaque. Contractors lacked a basic code of conduct and did not follow project management principles. Consequently, this scenario led to a lack of information and trust.
However, out of every problem, there is an opportunity to be found!
In 2020, the founders envisioned to reinvent the home construction and renovation environment in India. Powered by tech and a mission to simplify home construction and renovation for the Indian homeowners and home builders, Buildable was conceived in 2021.
